This policy explains what Harlow Car Keys does with the information you give us when you enquire about car key work.
What we collect
When you contact us we collect only what is needed to quote for and carry out the work: your name, a contact telephone number, the location of the vehicle, vehicle details such as make, model, year and optionally the registration, and your description of the problem. If you send a photograph of a key or vehicle, we hold that too.
How we use it
Your information is used to respond to your enquiry, quote for the work, attend the vehicle and keep a record of work carried out. We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to marketing lists without your agreement.
Proof of entitlement
Before opening a vehicle or producing a key we ask to see identification and evidence that you are entitled to the vehicle. We record that this check was carried out as part of the job record.
How long we keep it
Job records are kept for as long as is reasonably necessary for business, insurance and legal purposes, and then deleted. Enquiries that do not lead to work are not kept indefinitely.
Sharing
We do not share your details with third parties except where necessary to deliver the service you have asked for, or where we are required to do so by law or a lawful request from the police.
Your rights
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted where we are not required to keep it. Contact us and we will deal with the request.
